SF/F/H preferences:
I have no real preferences as to what I like to read and review. I do enjoy seeing old genres pushed to new boundaries but equally marvel at a masterpiece that manages to contain itself strictly in the confines of a set of guidelines. My favourite books of all time, for example, include Neil Gaiman's 'Neverwhere' (a post-modernist sci-fi look at London), anything from Terry Pratchett's 'Discworld' series and, of course, the true classics like 'Lord of the Rings', 'Dune', '1984', 'Dracula' and the works of H G Wells. As such, I try not to confine myself to writing in just one genre but experiment instead. In my experience, there are lessons to be learned from every aspect of literature.
