Type of SF/F/H you write (or like to review -- be as vague or specific as you like): My favourite writers - and this must be a pretty standard list - are Tolkein, Niven, Harry Harrison, Simak and Frank Herbert. I've ( joining the rest of the world a little late here ) just started on mr Banks, he looks to be living up to his reputation so far. I also enjoy Asimov, although his characters suck. I'll review anything that I enjoy reading. As for what I like to write, I used to do 'epic fantasy' when I was in my teens, but prefer to roleplay that now so I don't write it any more. I've considered horror, but can't get beyond the recieves-a-letter-from-someone-who-turns-out-to-have-been-dead or monster-slug-in-the-basement-eats-everbody kind of plot ideas. Which just leaves Sci-fi. I have a work-in-progress sci-fi Novel ( don't we all? ) . Embarasingly, I've got a second non-genre, real-world novel that I started by accident, is it's something I work on whenever I've got writers block on my sci-fi - currently it's the one going stronger and looking in better shape ... *oh well*. But what I'm most proud of is my comic-strip work, some of which can be seen at my web-page.

Publications, if any: Ok, if you're still reading you know I haven't published anything professionaly. But I've made the odd small-press outing.

Stories - The Sheffield University Science fiction and Fantasy society 'zine, called "T'Las', published several of my stories between '92 and '95, and I also drew about half the covers. To my recollection, the stories were 'The dreaming Moon', "Magharan", "Mechaneques", "The Warkell", and "Fessaril", all edited by one S Capewell.

Comics - I've also self-published four small-press comics; A humour anthology named 'The B-Side Comic', the first two chapters of a light space-opera epic: Vlaminc parts 1 and 2, and a newspaper strip collection entitled 'Smallbot', which I have further plans for.

Anything else you think would interest other members (age, occupation, interests, etc.): I work as a computer game programmer and some-time designer/artist. It's generaly interesting, but mentaly draining.
