New Book from a Critter Member

**NOW IN PRINT EDITION TOO!** Awesome new book, HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR SPECULATIVE FICTION OPENINGS, from a Critter member who's unearthed a shard of The Secret to becoming a pro writer. Really good piece of work. "...if you're at all concerned about story openings, you'd be nuts not to read what Qualkinbush has to say." —Wil McCarthy, author of BLOOM and THE COLLAPSIUM

The Sigil Trilogy

If you're looking for an amazing, WOW! science fiction story, check out THE SIGIL TRILOGY. This is — literally — one of the best science fiction novels I've ever read.

Interviewed!

I was interviewed live on public radio for Critters' birthday, for those who want to listen.

Best workshop. Professional environment, helpful administrators.

beginner or experienced, everyone needs a second pair of eyes, and IWW has lots of good eyes helping authors get their books to the next level.

The IWW is a rich resource for writers of all skill levels. People are there to help each other, and they tolerate neither spam nor flaming. I've been with them for over 10 years.

Discovering the IWW has changed my writing and my approach. I get great insights, suggestions and comments on everything I submit. And this group allows me to pay back all the critters who help.

They were very helpful when I was writing my book _Hidden History of Transportation in Los Angeles_

The Internet Writing Workshop is the best helping group for writers. I've been a member for eight years and have no need or desire for any other.

The Internet Writing Workshop is terrific for three reasons: 1. IWW members give and receive high-quality critiques for our articles. These critiques greatly improve our articles in terms of style and substance. 2. IWW members regularly engage in thoughtful, enlightening, and informative discussions on a wide range of writing and editing topics. 3. IWW members provide support for each other, and we have a happy kind of camaraderie.

with help from members of this workshop, I was able to complete/edit my midwifery memoir, which was then purchased at auction by Scribner for a figure amount, Baby Catcher: Chronicles of a Modern Midwife

The Internet Writing Workshop caters for all writers, no matter where they are on their writing journey. Members strive to offer honest, thoughtful and helpful critiques, and it is a great forum to submit your own work, ask questions, and receive publishing advice. Having a dedicated Admin team, and supportive members, I have learnt so much over the years.

An excellent group for both critical feedback and writer support.

IWW is great for all levels of writers, from beginners, all the way to best sellers (note: to my knowledge, we have no best selling authors in the group, but one can never be too sure. There are some great writers in the group.)

Helpful, supportive group for all levels of writers.

The Internet Writing Workshop has monitored critique groups for fiction, nonfiction, novels, romance, short prose, poetry, scriptwriting, and practice writing: Each have participation requirements. The IWW also has groups discussing the art and craft of writing in general, creative nonfiction, speculative fiction, and marketing. The IWW is a cooperative. Membership is FREE. At the IWW blogspot

IWW is easy to use. No need to log on to a website (or remember a password), the works you need to critique come straight into your box. Also, you get lots of helpful tips from discussions on the writers' list.

Love this workshop which I have been part of for many years. They offer critiques in various genres.

I've been a member for several years and find it extremely valuable, useful.

It's the ideal forum for budding writers. I felt very comfortable while interacting with other members and got valuable feedback which has improved my writing ability.
