SF/F/H preferences:

I usually write fantasy, though I also do some mainstream stuff. It seems to be useful to go back and forth between the two since what you learn on one side will enhance your skill in the other. I love reading fantasy, my favorite authors being Tolkien, Donaldson, McKillip and Wolfe. I also read science fiction, but I can't say that I have any real favorites. I like to review Science Fiction and Fantasy, though I prefer a well-plotted piece over one that emphasizes characterization.

Publications, if any:

"The Cross Genre Police" in Challenging Destiny, Number 3

"The Djin's Head" in Alternate Realities Webzine, Number 21

Anything else you think would interest other members:

I'm 29. I'm originally from a tiny town in New York and have lived in the UK, India and am now residing in Japan. I currently teach at a private high school and moonlight as a proofreader, translator and college professor.

I am interested in anime (good stuff- Mono no kehime, Naussica, Totoro), Japanese medieval history, Asian culture, travel, Japanese sci-fi, and good literature.

If you ever come to Tokyo, give me a shout.
